Personally I'm not exactly sure if having one is a good/bad idea. Other than ND possibly joining as a non football member I don't see much realignment in the ACC's future. But the main CRboard is definitely enemy soil for any fan here.
As you say, no realignment in our future unless (a) Notre Dame joins, or (b) someone leaves.

If you want to cut down on foolishness, maybe you should require posters to answer a logic question first. If they can't think logically, they aren't allowed to post... [Image: 03-idea.gif]

(BTW: we need a "tongue-in-cheek" smilie)
Unless you are pro-B12 you are attacked on the other board.
I think the main thing we need to do is to recruit ACC fans to spend MORE time on this board and LESS time on the C.R. board (now how to do that...?)

I don't think we need our own realignment board.
Not yet. We need more members first. And as you mentioned; we really don't have much in the way of realignment talk yet except for the occassional Notre Dame discussions.
Just have people post it on this board. The board could use some more traffic.
I vote no.

The ACC is stable, imho.

Let's talk some football and what little conference alignment is "juicy" let's just keep it here and sane.

Cheers,
Neil
COMPROMISE: What if we sticky an ACC realignment thread in the "Important" section and let folks post their comments there?

This may not be a bad idea. I'm a frequent visitor of another forum who only has one thread devoted to CR, albeit over 100 pages long. The unfortunate part is that some things will get lost in the shuffle that way.
I share everyone's opinion here. I really don't see a point in having one when we're already posting realignment stuff on the main ACCboard.

I kinda like ndlutz's idea of a super realignment thread. Let a thread have a mind of its own for a few days and then merge it w/ the super thread.
I voted yes, but realistically we don't have the people to have one. No doubt that we'd attract outsiders for sure, and we wouldn't have to talk about just ACC expansion/realignment. The intriguing thing would be that with the expectation of more people than just ACC posters weighing in on issues, this new ACC board could be set up to be less tolerant of wild-ass theories and stupidity commonly perpetuated by WVU fans, irrational BE fans and jilted lover CUSA fans.

What can we do to recruit some more ACC fans to this board?

Word of mouth I guess is the best way. Pop some PM's to some of the better UNC fans on your Scout/Rivals/247 or any other board.
I screwed up the other thread by deleting the poll. Thanks to some fancy moderating I was able to get this all merged! 04-bow

We should revote on this and make a Conference Realignment Super Thread an option. I have added this here so please re-cast your vote with this new option now in mind.

The poll was at 10-5 in favor of NO new ACCbbs Realignment Board.
I'm fairly open to all options, but voted no change...
No change is my preference and vote. I can tolerate a posted thread per Hokie Mark's suggestion.
I say either a dedicated thread, or no changes.
I don't really have a say but I don't think you really need one at this juncture. Its just going to bring in the same riff raff you're trying to get away from.
