UNT football will collapse the Belt under their immense power. Let's see it happen, Mean Green! 04-cheers

Yawn. They'll be better this year, but so will the rest of the Belt. My prediction...Behind stAte, ULL, FIU, and Troy. A losing record and no bowl.
03-yawn
ULM will be better. UNT 7-1? Unlikely.
Yeah, and did y'all hear that FAU is favored to beat Bama & UGA this year!?
But if you don't mind me asking TampaKnight, what part of Tampa are you from?

On UNT going 7-1...or UNT losing at ULM?
Ya, I'm not nearly this big of a homer.
UNT has the pedigree, the history and the legacy to get back to better days and much better eras of its NCAA D1 past, but Coach McCarney is still 1 or 2 CUSA-type recruiting classes to go before he gets back to emulating the kind of football programs we once had in Denton that were produced from his own personal hero, former boss and North Texas Mean Green icon coach....Hayden Fry. Coach McCarney will make his mark again as an NCAA FBS head football coach but in Conference-USA where there are more bowls and teams that get Top 25 rankings almost every year.

Coach Mac has some hosses for his final SBC swan song team, but still many that Todd Dodge recruited are no longer on campus and have gotten our scholarship numbers way below the numbers an NCAA FBS football program must have to succeed (especially in the area of depth), but he knew all that would be the case when he took the job. Our best team in Denton in many years (maybe decades) will be in his 3'rd year at UNT and our first year in C-USA. I have no idea about this Fall and wish he would go red-shirt crazy for the future, but that I am most assured will be an unlikely happening.

GMG!

I don't mean to rain on your parade but the CUSA you are joining is an unknown. I wouldn't bank too much on just the patch on the sleeve. It hasn't helped teams like UAB, Tulane, Memphis, Marshall, Rice and UTEP and who knows how all the new FCS schools will perform. You hope to have the success of USM, Tulsa or ECU but in the current CUSA there is no telling.

It is going to be interesting to see how UNT, TX St. and UTSA perform over the next ten years. So many differences between the three in terms of location and culture.
As the little boy in "Angels in the Outfield" said........"It could happen"................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................NOT!03-drunk

Out of all teams you picked them to lose to, you pick UL Monroe?
