Good list. Not a complete list, but a good list. I've tried many of these, but I'm going to need a spreadsheet to make sure I cover the rest.

From the Commercial Appeal: BUCKET LIST
I'm hungry.
Surprised they didn't list the Burger King Memphis-style barbecue sandwich.
Lobster pronto pups at Rizzo's. Unreal!

I had those when the same chef was at the old EP on Beale Street. I'm glad they are back.
I noticed that thye have the Birds Nest Soup at Tao Too in Germantown on the list it is supposed to be hot..

Has anyone tried it? Is it as hot as the Old Golden Dragon's Tom Yam Soup (maybe Tom Yum) ... The Golden Dragon Restaurants was on Cleveland just south of Poplar and closed in the Mid 1990's 03-hissyfit ...

The morning guys at Rock 103 ate there and were on air talking about how hot the soup was to their comedian guest (It was back when Comedy Clubs were big in Memphis and they had the new comedian on every week to pimp their upcoming shows). The comedian proceeded to tell them that he was from Texas and that they had the market cornered on hot foods ... and that nothing in Memphis was really hot...

The took the comedian to Golden Dragon and he tried the soup ... Next time he came to Memphis he had written a song about the soup! It was that hot --and good 04-cheers

Damn ............. you've moved suddenly from Seattle to Orlando?

Your odds don't look good if you continue to fly Air France.

It's not hard to doubt a "Best Of" list that lists #37 for Memphis for Fried catfish at Soul Fish Cafe.

Whoever rated that the best (considering it's the first Catfish listed) Catfish in the Memphis area must not get out often?

Because there's a lot better Fried Catfish than Soul Fish. IMHO

I assumed the list was arbitrary. Soul Fish was some of the best I've had. What are these other places you speak of?

I think Patrick's on Park Ave. @ Mt. Moriah has way better Catfish. IMHO

They've got a ton of Memphis memorabilia on the walls.

They've got a "One-Eyed Jack" Burger with a fried egg on it that's good.

Should have mentioned the smoked chicken at cozy corner.

And the nachos at the green beetle.

That's really good to hear. I've never been there, but I have an unused Groupon for that place. Friday's used to have the one-eyed burger a hundred years ago.
I always liked soul fish. Now I have to try Patrick's catfish.

In their defense I've eaten mostly at the Soul Fish location in Germantown.

Only once in Midtown. Which was a long long time ago and I enjoyed.

Well, I've only been to the one in Midtown. Don't care to eat catfish in a fancy schmancy place.
I eat Tom yum soup about once a week. Tycoon noodle shop on Kirby pkwy has the best in the city. It is hot but I add the sambal chili paste to make it hotter. Good stuff.

You never been to Patricks? One of the only good old meat and three type places left, with lots of other stuff.
