how many spots did hubbs jump?
Considering the number of high order prospects listing Memphis I have to wonder why there's so much nut love, as displayed by the on-going thread, for Austin Nichols. Man I hope the guy becomes a Tiger but if not there are other players around- ya know.
Nick King demoted to 4 star, not that it matters.

Williams III (PF) ---Ferrakahn Hall

That was going to happen when he signed with us anyways. Not a big deal. Still think he's better than Hubbs, IMHO.
Why does the consensus seem to be that we aren't getting Hubbs?

You guys should be more excited if we land a certain prospect from Houston who is better than Hubbs. The TN fascination is kind of getting tiresome. The only kids that Pastner is going to sign is King and Johnson from Memphis. We will have a better brand of players replacing other open spots. Do not get caught up in the he is from Memphis sign him.
King is better than Hubbs from what I have seen. If we can get 2/5 of the Memphis kids I will be happy

Memphis talent is what Pastner has been living off of. Until he proves he can get enough high level guys nationally I think many will still watch local recruiting very closely.

Excuse me but Will Barton (our leading scorer & rebounder and NBA draft pick) is from Baltimore, Maryland.
Who cares where they are from. That's the dumbest argument on whether or not a guy can recruit or not. He still has to close the deal. He still has to put in the work. These are all high-level guys that could play anywhere...if CJP lands them, it counts in my book.
Again, give me King, J3, Hubbs, JuJuan, and Coleby. All "local" kids and we'll whoop anyone's butt we come across...with all "local" kids.
