Edmonton Eskimos

Good Luck 04-rock
Good luck, eh?
Good luck to him up there. If one thing's for certain, he'll be doing a whole lot of kicking - be it field goals or extra points.

Hopefully, I'll be able to watch some of the games; they're generally a whole lot of fun.
Yes, we will get to watch the porn star on TV.

If you have xbox live you can watch the CFL via ESPN 3. It helps me get through the off-season.

Congrats Swayze and go Eskimos!
One of the intriguing aspects of Canadian football to me is the single point, or rouge. If the NFL is so butthurt about kickoff returns, they should implement this rule instead of moving the kickoff to the 50 and making it a personal foul for sneezing on a returner.

Unless you have Brighthouse internet...in which case you cannot watch ESPN3 on Xbox Live. Only on PC and Smartphones.
They show the games on the NFL Network as well.
CFL on tv tonight. Not sure which game is on.
I don't see it on any of the TV listing websites I go to. Looks like it's ESPN3 for me.

Former #UAB Kicker Swayze Waters and his new CFL team, the Edmonton Eskimos, play tonight at 6pm Central on ESPN3.
Congrats to Swayze on making the Eskies. I am a big CFL fan, my team is BC. Troy has several players in that league right now.

Kenny Mainor (LB): Winnipeg
Bear Woods (LB): Montreal
Brandon Boudroux (DE): Hamilton
Levi Brown (QB): Saskatchewan
You or the wife the BC fan?
I was en route to Birmingham, so I missed the whole game. Haven't had a chance to look at the box score, but Saskatchewan won, so that makes me happy.

Swayze was unable to play due to the American/Canadian ratio rules. He hopes to be able to soon though.

It's the same rules that plagued Center Darion Smith, who has since returned to the states after being cut from his CFL team due to their having too many American players on the roster.
I guess math isn't taught in Canada.
They also have those funny heads.
I actually enjoy the CFL, & although I had my reservations about them attempting to expand into US markets, was glad to have had a team in it, the "Barracudas" were fun to watch, and I was even more amazed to discover that Legion Field's diameters could actually adjust to CFL standards at that time.

Unfortunately, they are but another faded sports memory of this town's history, but one thing for some reason, took place during halftime of one of their games there that I never forgot, former Mayor Richard Arrington was at midfield to address the crowd, but as soon as his name was mentioned over the PA, the most resounding, indelible, thunderous, emphatic, bone-chilling chorus of boos I'd ever(and I mean to this day) heard in that place came down in his direction. His response to the obviously hostile acknowledgement of his presence..."Thank you..." The boos carried over into his public address speech, he could barely be heard over them...Vickie Guerrero would have garnered more respect from that crowd than he got that night at Legion Field. If I recall right, at some point, he even turned his back on the section that was giving him the most grief looking more toward the sparse few in one section of the stadium that actually applauded and cheered for him.

I'd find it hard to believe that it didn't have an effect on him, I don't care how powerful he percieved himself to be. That was some kind of moment to witness...
And good luck to Swayze!!!! I just became an Eskimos fan!

I am the bigger BC fan by far, but she also likes them and watches the games. She has a Leo mug she carries to work from time to time and her keyring has the BC logo on it. Ask her to see it sometime.

I have a good bit of gear myself, including some actual team stuff.

BTW, for those of you who think the CFL doesn't have nice facilities, check out BC's new digs:
