So who's the next one gonna be? Who is going to be that special player that we remember with the same fondness as Kenyon and Logan. For me I think Hicks is going to be the man. He reminds me of a young Kenyon, the raw skills are there but they definately need some refining under Huggs. However, I think he has the most potential.

IF it is Eric, which i believe is the only one with enough heart and desire, then it wont be til next season

Wow if only Eric was three inches taller...if Eric can get his jump shot in order and develop some driving ability, he could become a George Lynch, Ruben Patterson type defensive small forward in the NBA and play 5-10 years

I would love to see it happen, my favorite player on the team for sure
You left one off... Roy Bright! 04-rock He'll be a force on the boards immediatly and given 4 years to develop, his offensive game will be one to remember. 04-rock
Mad max needs to become more consistent on the glass to become our next A.A. Hicks needs to work big time on his offensive game if he has a shot at it. Kirk and White aren't the offensive force they need to become one.

I haven't seen Bright yet, but who knows, maybe he's the next one.

I would have to say Madmax has the best shot. He just needs to be more of a force on the glass and develop his offensive game just a little more this year. He can do it, if he puts the time in required...
The problem I have with Max is that it seems as if he refuses to pass the ball. I think he has a really good turn around jumper, but there are times when he is being double teamed that he refuses to pass the ball. I think that this has hurt him during his sophmore and junior year.
Eric,
For many reasons. Bottom line, he does the fundamentals( still needs some work on consistent free throws). Also he knows how to "share" the ball at crucial times in the game. He makes himself get into the front of the basket(no matter who is guarding him) for the rebound, and hits it a majority of the time.
I like Eric's hard nosed style of play, and his agressiveness. However, he really needs to become a primary scoring option if he wants to get noticed by the national media. I feel bad for him cause he won't get a chance to be the starting PF until his senior year.

What do you guys think about starting Eric and max at 4 and 5? I've seen Eric go up against guys much taller than him and easily hold his own.
My vote is for James White. If he could shoot he would be one of the best small forwards in the country.

Given our alternatives (who knows about Rob?), Eric and Max is definitely the answer. I'd like to be taller at one of the two positions, but these two consistently seem to be the best combination as far as going to war in the paint. Furthermore, I think that is the way the starting lineup will shape up at the beginning of the season.

Defensively, I would like to see these two guys quit buying so many pump fakes. My theory FWIW is that the lack of overall height has something to do with it - maybe they feel they have to jump to compensate. The best solution is for these two to use their tremendous muscle toward ball and position denial, and it's obvious what the gaurds need to do about the opponents dribble.

My vote is for a big senior season from Max. But, with only three guys figuring to see significant PT in the post, I figure Eric will get his share of minutes, so I'm not concerned with his not being ready to bust out as a senior.

That's because he has an extremely limited offensive game

He does need a ton of work. Hopefully he can develop some sort of hook shot. He showed signs of a little jumper. He's a beast on the glass though. We should get plenty of second and third chance points. With Hicks, Max and Bright in the frontcourt, we should control the glass.
I believe all with the exception of Kirkland...Kirkland just does not seem to be motivated
I think max has come a long way from the guy with the turnaround to a guy who can hit the 15 footer and put it on the floor. I think his stock will rise after he leaves UC, the way tony bobbitts did. He'll shine once he's out of the restricted system.

Hicks, to me is somewhat of a kmart type. Not that he is an all american. but like kenyon, on a certain day he can do some incredible things. A triple double or two are not out of the question for him. I can even see a 20-20 game in his career. He'll be a player we will remember, but not an all american.

Talent wise armein has the greatest upside but I can't see a situation where he would take a leadership role.

James white , i've said it before, he's gonna be our next Damon Flint. He's the man Huggs trust. Hopefully he will get a chance to excel and open his game up more once he graduates like so many former players do.

I guess my choice for our next all american is big rob. I doubt he will but if anyone can make the to AA from UC, i'd say Rob.
Max. He is my favorite. LOL

Why isn't Giles a choice?
Where is the "none of the above" button?

Just being realistic.
