I'd say we have a 0.5% chance.
The best chance we have is if we package with USF. The rivalry would be the only thing that gets both of us noticed.

I think the 0.5% is rather optimistic if we fly solo.
It's a fun pipedream but they're not goin to expand for the sake of expansion, unlike the ACC.
Personally, i'm all in for the big east. We don't need to be surrogates of texas. We'll be good where we are now. Don't turn into a louisville
I have no doubt that we've been considered by the Big 12, but they're going to give an invitation to one or more schools from the ACC before they invite anyone from the Big East (TCU is an obvious exception to that).
UCF would need to go on a 15-20 year run like FSU did in the 90's/early 00's or what Boise's done the past 10-years to even sniff a larger conference than the Big East at this point. That's just the way it is now. Their size, market/location and 25-year campaign of "future potential" has finally caught up with them and got them in the Big East, and back on par with USF from an affiliation standpoint. As long as this conference stays together, I don't see them moving again anytime soon unless there's a string of natural disasters that wipe out entire schools in bigger conferences.

If UCF goes on a 15-20 year run like FSU or Miami, they won't need a larger conference, the Big East will have become a larger conference due to their success.

Any talk of going to the SEC/BigXII is entitlement talk. The BE is all the springboard a University the size of UCF needs to be competitive at any level.
When the Big 12 was fighting for survival, I'd give USF and UCF a better shot. But with FSU and possibly other ACC schools reaching out to the stable and now one of the "Big 4" conferences...they're not going anywhere near UCF or USF.

They'd raid the ACC and go to 16. The SEC and B1G would probably pick off a couple from the ACC, as well. A depleted ACC with left overs from the ACC and Big East will form or the ACC left overs will crawl over to the Big East.
