How much longer does Skole have? I don't follow baseball closely, but it seems that he's been untouchable.

Torture? I guess ol' Rusty (or whoever it is) never had to run after a poor performance in athletics, if he ever played athletics.
If this gets Skole fired, I would be surprised. However, I do think his winning pct should do it, and he probably should have been gone 2-3 years ago. It would be a good time to go after a new coach with the new facility, imo.
Good thing ETSU doesn't have a football field, he could have had them run sucides. Goal line to 10 yard line. back to goal line. Goal line to twenty and back.. then 30 etc. loads of fun. Actually thinking back, Thornberry had something close to that, stand in outfield on left field foul line, run to first fence pole (chainlink fence) and back to foul line then next pole until you got to right field foul pole. Can't remember what the team did to piss him off.

I'm not going to sit here and bash Tony Skole. Not that I think he's the second coming of Skip Bertman, but- HORRORS! He made his team run sprints in the morning!

The narrator, the complaints, the sneaky way he shoots the video, the overall idiotic hillbilly feel of the entire thing.
The narrator made himself, and the entire ETSU fan base, look like idiots. If this is the sort of fan that doesn't like Tony "SK-OH-WOULE!" then I want Skole to have a lifetime contract.
By the way, some inside baseball here, a few years ago some parents went to ETSU and tried to buy out his contract, obviously with less-than-successful results.
I've heard some allegations on Skole that are more damning than calling his players "pu$$ies." I'd like to ask the narrator how he thinks baseball people- especially baseball people with a military (The Citadel) background- talk?
But I can't confirm the allegations and to be honest, they aren't the sort of criticisms that would make one say Skole's a bad coach. So I won't print them here.
What I can say, and it is a theory that fits the facts, is that Skole is very adept at playing the political game at ETSU.
if skole has to answer to this beyond today, they should drop the sport altogether. skole should be judged on win and losses, apr, and the state of the program. this is just whiny daddy ball garbage from parents of a kid thats not a star anymore and not cut out for div 1 baseball. lord help this kid and his family with the ups and downs that come with life...
If I'm Skole, I found out which crybaby on the team went to his daddy and boo-hooed about this and I would make him run till his legs fell off.
"THIS IS DIVISION 1 FOOTBALL(baseball)! Go play intramurals brother."
With that voice, it shouldn't be that hard to figure it out.
But frankly, I don't think a coach should punish a player because his father is, evidently, an inbred moron who doesn't have any concept of discipline.
Well you have to figure the kid cried about it to his daddy for him to come all the way out there.

or play at milligan, vi, or king...
skole throws a local kid a bone (which we want him to do) and it comes back to bite him in the rear.
skole should cut loose on this kid and the family and laugh him off the team...if he has not already
I don't think Skole should be fired over this video but I think they do need to get rid of him and bring in someone who can coach and maybe recruit to the new stadium, One thing the guy who shot the video did get right was what I quoted in my original post.
This here coach has been here 13 years and never won nothin.

Communication is always the best policy.
But really, what has happened is an inbred moron has posted something on You Tube.
If I have to discipline a player for that, then the inbred moron has made an impact.
Right now, the only thing the inbred moron has done is make himself look foolish (to put it mildly) and made Tony Skole look like a coach who believes in discipline.
Look, if I'm firing Skole, it's because of his record.
It's not because of this.
I will also say to fire Skole after you promised him a new stadium and instead have given him a half-completed monstrosity would be typical of Mullins and Co. passing the buck.
Perhaps Skole isn't a sympathetic figure. Perhaps he is. But what ETSU has done with his facilities is akin to promising Jeff Gordon a brand new race car, then giving him one with no engine.
Should DuPont really blame Gordon if he doesn't win under the circumstances?
This is certainly not newsworthy, or worthy of a response from Skole or the AD's department. This guy is clearly disturbed to get up at 6:00 and secretly tape a practice which includes nothing more than conditioning exercises.
