this year. Obviously Ben Dillard will get first shot at it because he's had SBC experience, and has shown he can shoot the ball. Plus he's a year ahead of the Freshmen. However, Kemy Osse looks like he has some talent and could push for playing time. But the biggest advantage Ben has is that he knows what Coach Shields expects on the defensive end of the court and is familiar with the offensive system we run. Unless Osse is the second coming of Solo, I look for Dillard to have the edge for the starting spot.

The Four and Five slots are pretty well set with Will, Michael, Gus and James White. We should be the best we've ever been depth wise inside. But then comes the Point Guard and Three spot. It looks like the Point will be manned by a Freshman. I look for Taggart or Stetson Billings to be the man at the Three spot.

Reggie Fondren is sort of our wild card. He could play at the point, the two or the three. He was probably my biggest surprise last year.
I didn't really expect him to give us as much as he did. So I wouldn't count him out of the equation.

I wouldn't even begin to predict how we'll do with wins and losses, but I think we'll be competitive in conference play, and maybe we'll put it all together earlier than normal this year, and have a pretty good overall season record.
Ben is the man at the 2. Someone will have to take it from him. He can shoot, and we can't spare that.

Reggie will be the glue man next year, in the Trojan tradition. The guy who does a little of everything and makes good things happen.
The Isom kid from Austin is 6'7" tall and a shooting guard. If he can play defense, he could be a factor. Or he could redshirt. Lot of possibilities.
