SEEN THE WHOLE Game - he's the best bar none!
How can a team w. JV, Cabby, Prince, etc. be a .500 team???

Leyland can't seem to light a fire under them!

His managing style empasizes the big hit, HR's doesn't advance runners, never plays any small ball - take a look at the left on base numbers
Was at the game. The collective gasp of shock when that seeing-eye single went up the middle was awe-inspiring and depressing at the same time. I've never seen a performance like that in person. Would've been nice to be part of history, but still a brilliant job by JV.

Looked like a soft liner about five feet from Johnny P's glove.

As Sam indicated it was a seeing eye single.

If the ball had been hit at a player most of us could have caught it.
