I have to give Jon Solomon credit on this one... amazing view into the hirings of McGee and Haase.

A couple interesting points: MS St. tried to contact Haase, but they were too slow even though they fired Stansbury before UAB fired Davis; Mackin had Haase's name with four games left in the regular season... because of Carr.
I just can't believe that McGee's name was leaked early. Wink. wink.

I'm sorry WWW://this!.com .org or .net ?
"Search firms are nothing new. They're just now trickling down to lower levels of Division I. UAB didn't use one when it hired Neil Callaway and Mike Davis in 2006. "

Really? Who woulda thunk it?
Yeah they did. The Search Firm of Paul, Bryant and Junior.

Don't give PWB,Jr all the credit for the Callaway hire. I'll bet a couple of his cabal on the BOT were just as deep into it as he. Unfortunately that same search firm's list of recent hires is not impressive. They pushed DuBose into the HC job followed by a string of other poor choices as well. Only the backout by Rodriguez after they fired Shula gave them the chance at redemption with Saban.

Stansbury retired right?
Did he jump or was he pushed? I'm not sure that "retired" wasn't a face saving gesture.
"retired" at the ripe old age of 52.

He didn't retire. He was forced out.
