Southern was talking about adding it as well. I see absolutely NO downside to this.

In fact, it could have higher attendance than Women's....anything.

....and for some perspective, that street entrance shown in that picture is literally one-half block from the State Capitol - going after the dirty-'ol politician demo.

Maybe it's just me, since I spend a lot of time on the beach... but something seems out of place building a sand volley ball court in the middle of a concrete jungle.

Unless youre FAU its not gonna be at the beach. And we ARE The Concrete Jungle so it fits.

I must admit, I am in full favor of the uniform requirements for sand volleyball...

I have heard rumors of MT adding sand volleyball, as well. Also heard rumors of it being an SBC sport.

Is ULM dropping a sport, or just getting Title-9 compliant ? Are they dropping scholies from any other sport (track, cross country, etc) ?

They are the same requirements as for regular volleyball...sorry.

I wonder if you can just take your best Volleyball players and put them on Sand VB team or if you have to offer new scholarships.

FSU added sand volleyball this year and went undefeated during the regular season. I'll have to check to see how they did in tournament.

My understanding is that each program makes the decision as to whether to combine their court and sand squads or have two separate squads. GSU will keep them separate.

Would probably help with title IX to keep them seperate.

Well we need to fight to change that. The uniform qualifications for sand volleyball are unjust and unfair to all men everywhere.

FIU is adding a team and just announced its first signing class. As I understand, there will be sand volleyball "only"-type players, as well as "crossovers" from the volleyball team. Same with volleyball team getting some crossovers from sand volleyball scholarship players.
