Seems like the schools are looking at about 17 million per school. What did the Big12 get?
20M 1st and 2nd Tier... getting more $$$ for 3rd from what I hear.
How in the hell did they pull that off? We are gonna hear the hoopies till no end on this one!

They're already hinting that this is a sign that FSU and Clemson are on their way out. 03-banghead
It seems very comparable to the PAC12 deal... just can't understand why the Big12 got so much? Although there is the difference between sharing that with 14 teams to 10.

I have no idea. It seems more to me that FOX wants to throw money to keep the league together more than anything. How WVU, and TCU is worth more than Mizzou, Colorado, aTm, and Nebraska baffles me.

Timing more than anything. ACC timing was bad while the Big12 timing was great. Despite that, I don't see the differences between the leagues as great as originally feared. $17 mil/school is great for the ACC considering it was reworking a weaker deal from the get go. However, if the ACC was up for bid like the Big12 was, I think the ACC easily gets $20 mil/school if not more.
Feeling a little better about this deal than I originally did. Looking like at some point the ACC could have a Network.

The ACC is being hit for a now extended period of poor national performance in football which, of course, is all that matters. The PAC12, Big XII, and SEC have regularly appeared in NCGs and have BCS wins. The B1G might not be much better but they also own the ground breaking BTN.

Ironically, FSU and Clemson have no one to blame but themselves for this devaluation. Would they improve their competitive position by jumping? Probably not.

Seems to be neither bad or good but somewhere in between.
nicely put
