Great video with a lot of good information. Thanks for sharing.
Good job. The Zone needs to make a habbit of getting Mitch on. He has a great face for radio.
Speaking of the other "Zone", 2 of the members - Doug & Kevin had another one minute madness video that was placed on al.com earlier today.

For some reason, it disappeared about as quickly as it was put on there.

Not sure if it was put on there too early or not, but the topic of the article basically was

Why not Troy or USA to CUSA instead?

Doug gave his pep talk on how it would lead to bigger crowds at UAB football games, generate excitement within the state, etc.

While this may be true for the game or two that we would play against them, it would do absolutely nothing for the other teams in the conference AND the basketball at Troy is so pathetic that it would severely lower our league rankings even further.

To his credit, Kevin didnt seem to be as on board with the Troy / USA scenario as Doug.

So would shifting UAT and Auburn to CUSA.
Or Notre Dame.

When will the local media get it through their thick skulls that Troy & USA are not even on the radar and when they made inquiries they were told politely no. I get it why we are playing Troy in football right now. It sucks we have to give them a home basketball game because of it. If we must play one of them and we have to tie basketball to it I vote USA. I would much rather play USA in basketball and play football in Mobile rather than that rat hole called Troy.

How about this. No more long term contracts with any state teams and play them two for one and stop handcuffing basketball? If we have to play Troy in basketball pay them a fair game guarantee to play in Bartow.
