GUNTOWN, Miss. (AP, abc24.com) - Police have arrested the wife and mother of a man suspected of abducting and killing a Tennessee woman and her oldest daughter and kidnapping the woman's two youngest daughters.
A court clerk confirmed that Adam Mayes' wife, Teresa Mayes, and mother, Mary Mayes, are in jail in Hardeman County, Tenn., and will be arraigned Tuesday.
The clerk did not yet know what charges they face.
Teresa Mayes' sister Bobbi Booth said Adam Mayes and his wife lived with his parents.
The bodies of Jo Ann Bain and 14-year-old Adrienne Bain were found behind a house in North Mississippi late last week.
Booth told the AP her sister told her last week she knew about the killings, but she thinks Teresa Mayes may have been too scared to call the police.
This is something almost like the show Criminal Minds. This doesn't look good at all.
I doubt Leslie Ballin and Steve Farese could get them off.

Mayes’ wife Teresa and his mother Mary both face four charges.
Teresa Mayes is charged with four counts of Especially Aggravated Kidnapping.
Mary Mayes is charged with four counts of Conspiracy To Commit Especially Aggravated Kidnapping.
According to an affidavit, Teresa Mayes admitted to helping drive Jo Ann Bain and her daughters to Union County, MS and helping to “confine” the family.
Both women also said they saw Adam Mayes digging a hole on April 27, the same day the Bain family was last seen.
One of those charges is kidnapping.
Yesterday, the FBI confirmed the bodies of Jo Ann Bain and her 14-year-old daughter had been found in shallow graves at the Mayes home Friday.
Bond for Teresa Mayes is set at $500,000 and for Mary Mayes was set at $300,000.
Wonder if the wife and mother will give him up? This whole story is really bizarre.
Two questions. One, are the crimes they women are being held on crimes in the state of tennessee? I know they were arrested in TN but are they facing trial here or extradition to MS? Second, some states have a law that states that a murder committed in the act of a felony allows for all people involved to face capital murder charges. Therefore, if this law is in place in the current state they will stand trial, then both women and Adam Mayes can be indicted for two counts of capital murder and possibly two more.
I think they will have to figure out if the murders happened in Tennessee or Mississippi. I believe both states will have their day.

Yea. I almost hit a bald eagle in my car on 57 around there a few years ago. It freaked the crap out of me, I turned a corner and there it was in the middle of the road. Fortunately it flew over me by a couple feet. A really amazing sight. I learned a lot of those roads from Ramer to Michie to Selmer and down to the Stateline when I was at Freed-Hardeman (I was in Dan Winkler's class when they were going through Mary's trial/custody battle). The Rib Cage in Pickwick is still one of my favorite places to eat.

If you know your way around, you can go from town to town without ever hitting a blacktop road.
Don't know if it's still open, but there's a restaurant between Corinth and Walnut, off 72 (big billboard points where to turn) called Chapman's. If you're ever on 72, you should stop by with an appetite.
Buffet-style, all you can eat crab legs, shrimp every which way, ribeyes (on the freaking buffet no less), all types of fish, ribs, quail, and even frog legs. Like I said, all on the buffet.
EDIT: Just googled and it still appears to be open.
