UAB
- Was on Ark staff w/ HCGM for about 28 days
- quality coach; good choice by UAB
- needs OCS and other support
- likes HCGM as a coach
- cost SMiss $3million and Sugar Bowl with win last year

SMiss
- gets a lot of guys from AL
- started when AL and UA only major teams in state
- has continued over the years because of culture of winning
- now has to compete for AL guys against UAB, Troy, and USA
- on the way to SMiss Alumni function at Fish Market in BHam

- likes CUSA/MWC working together
- Secret brother of XCNC
- Knows how to do stuff the "Bammer Way"
- Disappointed that there aren't enough "player perks" at USM as there are at Bammer
- Prays to Bear every morning
- Glad his basket weaving degree helped him in his coaching career.

Ellis Johnson on Smashmouth Radio Network: UAB will be in great hands with Garrick McGee. He's extremely impressive as a recruiter.

The same could be said of SoMiss and Houston
So they would be 2 million under budget had they won against UAB.

It was mentioned under the recruiting forum that McGee & staff have been going to local high schools, including the one I follow now in Mortimer Jordan.

I am glad that we have coaches that want to go out to the local high schools.
Marshall got in the way of the Sugar Bowl as well.
Les Miles also hosted an LSU alumni event at The Club today. Interesting that LSU and USM football coaches were both in town at the same time for events.
I'm still waiting on the Zone to put up Garrick McGee's last interview. Since then they interviewed GUS MALZAHN the Arkansas State coach and it is up. I will guess Ellis Johnson will be up as well on podcast. Why would you post the Arkansas State coach's interview and not the coach from the home town team? Just wondering.
I have been looking for the Mackin podcast for a while also. It looks like they stopped putting the podcasts from the old shows up.

OK, so not basket weaving, but gabion weaving.
I wonder why Fedora or Bower never received as much discussion here in the local media.
