Most of the teams in the old TAAC will never be seen in a conference with us again, however, I have seen some talk of the addition of old TAAC rival Georgia Southern to the SBC. Centenary is no longer D-I, Samford is in the Southern Conference and would never leave that to join the SBC, Mercer is in the Atlantic Sun (which is basically what the TAAC became) and doesn't play football and isn't in a big market so they probably won't be a SBC candidate, Stetson would have the same considerations, and UTSA has gone to the CUSA. I can't think of any others at present.

This will really put some pressure on Old Dominion to make a decision on what it wants to do. I think ODU would like to join the CUSA, but they aren't sure they are quite prepared at present for the huge financial committment that moving up to the FBS would entail. Very interesting.

I sure would hate to lose MTSU, and WKU would hate it even worse.
