Very good movie! Better than just a typical summer action movie because it's really FUN to watch and yes, the Hulk steals the show with the best two scenes in the movie, especially his interaction with Loki. The kids and friends loved the movie!

Great job by Joss Whedon. Pleased with the respect of Captain America and his old fasion views
Yes, Hulk's "interaction" with Loki was quite entertaining
I saw The Avengers in 3D last night! The Hulk definitely stole the show. Even had some of the people in the theater jumping up and down during his scenes! Was hilarious!
I thoroughly enjoyed it and like how they found something for everyone.

My only kind of criticism is the climatic battle was too much like the end of Transformers Dark of the Moon.

Funny you mention that. I had the same thought as they set up that battle 03-lmfao

Could you imagine a Micheal Bay directed Avenger film ? :noisycricket::aliens::tomcat:

Oh, I wouldn't put it in that category. DotM was much worse. 3D really suffers with lots of stuff going on though. Gives me a headache.

luckily I was spared the 3D on both (and pretty much every other movie). I avoid it like the plague. Had to for a movie a couple years ago and it was not a fun experience. They can keep their 3D

If the movie isn't filmed in 3D, no one should ever pay those stupid 3D surcharges.
Depending on how well 'Hulk' was received in this movie is supposed to determine whether he will have another feature film since the first one was so bad and the second got luke-warm results.

Hulk and Ghost Rider both have great potential but their movies come off as afterthoughts and have no creativity to them.

Going to see Avengers tonight though.
The Avengers rocked! I really enjoyed the story. That being said, the over the top action in the last battle scenes in it and in Transformers DOTM got tiring. Sometimes there just TOO much going on and it's not enjoyable trying to keep up with all of it. I saw it in 2D.
I'll go a step further on 3D. Not only does the movie have to be shot in 3D, it has to be written and pretty much built from the ground up for 3D. The headaches and eye strain come from having to focus on too many things. Action scenes are the classic problem for 3D. I didn't recall having any problems with Avatar, but the last Transformers was just hellacious.

The new Spider Man movie has been made for 3D from the get-go. I will probably give it a shot.

I thought that Hulk was one of the best parts of Avengers. There were a few small scenes that he had that were hilarious.

I don't think it's as much about the writer as much as the director. The reason The Dark Knight Rises won't be in 3D is because Chris Nolan doesn't want it to be, whereas he was willing to put in the extra work for IMAX scenes. They always knew the Avengers was going to be in 3D, and it was Josh Whelden who decided shooting in 3D was going to be more difficult so they decided to convert after the fact.
Saw it last night and was very pleased with it! Well done!

The dry humor is always good with me. Hulk was very good. I could enjoy a new movie done with him.

The only thing I didn't like and it was mentioned earlier is that all the 'alien' stuff in every movie looks like its part of the Transformers movies. Even the Battleship preview looks like Transformers.

yeah Battleship looks exactly like Transformers. Even used some of the same sound effects in the previews.

I thought Avengers was pretty similar in that regard, but not nearly as bad.
I thought Avengers was one of the best movies I have seen in a while. It will be a first day buy when it comes out on Blu-ray and I will likely see it again. Dark Knight Rising has its work cut out to beat that, but I am predicting it will or will at least come very close.
We waited four years for the Avengers. It was definitely worth the wait. I'd put it in the top 5 comic book superhero movies of all time.

Absolutely Agree about the 3D.
Saw Avengers opening night and very much enjoyed it.
Wish I still had all the comic books from my childhood.

Haven't seen it yet (don't get out to the movies much), but what are the rest of your top 5?
