that no D1 schools from Illinois made the NCAA this year. Neither did any teams from Arkansas, but that is no big deal. (I did not even see any mention of that fact in the media.) No one seemed to care. In the Big Ten and the Valley, however, basketball matters, and they have more than twice as many teams as Arkansas. That must have smarted.
