Can't say I'm surprised. Sherrer and Greene got the majority of the carries at the end of the year...I'm guessing that trend will continue into this season as well. I like Dominique, and he is a great story, but we are very deep at running back and I don't blame him for wanting to go somewhere to get more playing time in his last season.

PT is a big, big issue.

I wonder if we'll transfer to D-II. Maybe a school like Wayne State. I could see him doing very well in D-II. Dom has a lot of talent.

Given his family circumstances, I honestly don't know where is home, where he would live, where his siblings would go to school, etc.

HIS circumstances are SO UNLIKE those of any other player I can remember.

I do wish him all the best regardless of where he transfers.

I need to check how far in school he is...
BTW, isn't today the end of the school calendar (2nd semester)?

Thanks for posting.

By looking at the number of 'guests' it seems there are more non-registered than registered visitors this board.

Dominique needs to get the word out to maximize his options.

I hope White is getting good advises (unlike Eric Page), I am wondering if there is a chance that White would come back.. It seems like he is still looking. I hope the problem isn't because he wasn't offered a scholarship to play his last year..
Dear Friends,
After watching the video, Mr. White is a very good hard running back, however, he just didn't seem to have that break away speed. Eastern also has a good number of running backs, so if White decides to move on, I don't think it would hurt the program much. Eastern has Brumfield and Hill behind Scherrer and Greene, as well as recruit Lewis coming into the fold.

good point! EMU is deep at RB - Hart will coach them up!
I was told that the reason he wasn't offered a scholarship was because of his situation. The government help he was getting, school was already free.
That said I agree with above said points, White did a great job filling in for an injured Shererer and Greene, but this Spring Brumfield and Hill passed him up and the 2 incoming backs in time should prove better in relatively short time.
I will say it again, you can drive two trucks through some of the holes the offensive line creates and an upgrade at running back will only enhance our run game not hurt it.
Where I see an issue is how do the offensive coaches get all of those guys carries with the football

Thanks.

I heard this story but I only danced around it here on the board since I really didn't want to speculate about something I had only heard rumors.

His situation is something football coaches sees once every 10, 20 years or more likely once in a career.

I assume that Dom is considered a foster parent by the state and he is entitled to support for his siblings and maybe himself as well.

Accepting an athletic scholarship might have affected his eligibility for assistance, etc.

(His situation is so much different than when a child is placed in the foster care of an unrelated person).

I have no idea where Dom and his siblings live. Ypsilanti? Or closer to where they lived when he was in high school? Etc.

I hope he considers Wayne State where he could be part of a top notch D-II program and allow him to remain in southeast Michigan.
Too many RBs, too many WRs, too many TEs, etc.

Karcher has problems???? 04-cheers
