I usually don't worry about too much about schedules. First, because you never really know which teams are going to be good especially by the end of the year and second, because you can't do anything about it anyway.

But this is a pretty interesting schedule for the Bengals also for a couple of reasons - first is the respect/expectations or whatever you want to call it to get 3 prime time games. Second is the home schedule has nearly all interesting matchups beyond the obvious division foes:
- Denver with Peyton
- SB Champs Giants
- Raiders with Palmer
- America's Cowboys

Should be interesting to see if the fans return this year coming off last year's surprising achievements and an intriguing home schedule. If this team gets off to a good start and still doesn't sellout, Mike Brown has some real problems.
Seems like the anti MB stuff has died down. I expect the fans back this year.
Looks like a pretty doable schedule at first glance. Their toughest out of division games seem to all be at home (Denver, Giants, Oakland, Dallas).

I think Philly is their toughest out of division game. Thursday night, on the road and I think we saw that team late last season get their act together. I actually think the schedule is better than it initially looked because:
1. Though NYG were 9-7 they were also Super Bowl Champions
2. Denver brought Peyton manning into the fold, so i bet they are better than .500
3. I think philly is going to be really freaking good this year.

That said. Bengals can get out to a fast start and hopefully their talent develops enough that they are upper NFL by the end of the season.

Last year the Bengals were 2-2 against teams with 8 or 9 wins.
They were 0-5 against teams with 10+ wins AND
They were 7-0 against teams under .500

Looking at it that way the Bengals record made a lot of sense. They were not in the elite, but were right there among the borderline playoff teams and certainly better than the bottom half of the league. I expect a leap this year, but the schedule seems a little better.

Huge stretch from week 7-10. All home games.
7 Pittsburgh
8. Bye
9. Denver
10. NY Giants

2-1 over those three games would be enormous.
those last games are brutal:
@San Diego
Dallas
@Philly
@Pitt
Baltimore

Yikes. Better have 8-9 wins heading into that stretch.
