according to Fox6. Not sure what that means.
He doesn't want to be bothered about it right now?
He's negotiating his new contract. 05-stirthepot
He is going to wait until they offer it and then hold a press conference to say..........No! he wants to stay at UAB! 03-cloud9

Part of the normal media schedule. Not even a story there.
Schedule has McGee only talking on Saturdays during spring.

Monday was an exception.
I'm guessing he also is friends with Petrino and doesn't want to be used for quotes.
Well even though its unlikely coach mcgee gets offered. If u put him on the spot tonight and asked coach "if the opportunity arose, would u take the job at Arkansas or are u going to continue to build a program at UAB." It puts him on the spot. Not sure what he would say but I do kno that waiting until saturday gives him all the time in the world to discuss with his wife whether or not he would accept the job at Ark. If his house in fayetteville is still up for sale, he is liable to return.
I think he probably has been offered.

The Arkansas job? Doubt it.

He's probably contacted Arkansas about it though.
I have no inside info here, I just think that if he is the guy, that he already knows it and it will be official once both schools have finished spring practice.

Put another way... I think that the smart play for Arkansas is to try and keep the team in place that's a preseason top 5 pick. That means keeping most of the staff intact... so what is missing from that staff... The guy that was calling the plays was the head coach that just got fired, so you need a playcaller. Well, they have an offensive coordinator... who is the brother of the guy who just got canned... he's probably out too if you are trying to clear the Petrino stench. So who do you turn to? If I was calling the shots, I would turn to the guy who was until recently the offensive coordinator, the guy that developed the very good QB you have, and his predecessor who was an AA and NFL pick. The guy who knows the playbook, the terminology and who already is loved by the players. The guy who has a relationship with most of the staff and could keep the train running. I'd turn to the guy who you could easily buyout and quintuple his salary if it took it, because a chance to chase a championship is worth it. You don't want strife to be the reason you lost out on a possible championship season.

Like I said, I don't know squat about their AD's thought process, and maybe it's just my well honed UAB pessimism speaking, but if I'm their AD I make McGee a godfather offer if that's what it takes. If you want to keep a shot at the championship you can't bring in a new staff with new schemes. If you don't want a Petrino calling the plays you are going to to have to hire someone who already knows the current system. Is there anothe candidate out there that fits the bill?
They can hire Ryan Mallett. He knows all the offensive plays & would be the first NCAA coach to wear a flat bill hat on gamedays... that would attract recruits, right?
If he spurns an offer from Arkansas and stays put here at UAB, I have a feeling that season ticket sales will see a substantial increase. Honor and commitment tends to go a long way, they're also reflections of leadership.
He's going to have to address this somehow. It's really snowballing now.
I agree. Some decision needs to be made public within the next day or so.
Aren't we having practice tonight? In public? Around everyone? The Stache can't clam up!

Tonight should be interesting....
I'd imagine there's going to be a crowd of reporters there at least asking. Whether he answers it or not is another matter.

If reporters there are asking questions, they'll be asking the assistant coaches that are available tonight.

As of right now, McGee isn't available for media until Saturday.

Hav u jus completely given up on the English language?
They will be shouting him down as he leaves the field then, for all the football team to see. That's going to look good.
