What a dumb decision! Maybe theyll hire someone who can actually beat the gumps, barners and coon asses. Just leave the stache alone and allow his arky recruits to transfer. At least this gives us something to discuss until the dead period in basketball recruiting is over in the next few days.

Actually, I think it's the smartest decision for both parties. Keep the current staff, produce a winning season, and find a great hire for next year!

In a way, it is a good move. How are u supposed to tell ur recruits when they come in to represent the university with class when u have already set a bad example. Espn had the potential candidate list: Garrick Mcgee, Guz Malzahn, Butch Davis, Skip holtz. I was thinking eventually when the season of 12-13 is over. I could see kirby smart jumping ship. I have no idea about a quick fix as of right now.

Isn't Butch Davis under an NCAA cloud? That wouldn't make sense for them, imo.

It'll be interesting to hear what Jeff Long says in the press conference about the profile of the next coach. If he says anything about years of head coaching experience then we can breathe a sigh of relief.

I was hearing that they were wanting to cut his pay. Which would have been a huge mistake and sent the wrong message. They are making the right decision. Anything else was going to cost them in many ways
