According to Maxi Pad the demographics of the board can be summed up as follows:

Quote:Obviously the vast majority on here are ideologically conservative, and from what I gather, from the largest most reliable GOP demographic---old, white rich selfish Boomers who trust the GOP to keep their taxes low. Others have religious reasons, which again means arguing with them is pointless.

So I'm curious how many fit. So let's find out.

Ninerfan1:
Age - 35
White - yes
Rich - No, upper middle class
Selfish - no, gave about 20% of my take home income to various charities last year
Boomer - Obviously not given my age
Religious - yes, but it doesn't factor into my views on anything political save abortion
Not exactly sure what scale to use to define rich though. I'm sure my opinion of "rich" will not equal most others.

But for me:

Age - 45
Race - Caucasian
Class - Middle?
Selfish - No. Donate weekly to my church and other various small donations.
Boomer - I don't think so.
Religious - Methodist.
Politics = Liberal/Progressive. (Niner, you left this one out 03-wink) And religion plays no part in my political leanings.
Age - 24 on Saturday
Race - Black
Class - I guess it would be middle for an unmarried man of 24.
Selfish - I'll swim to my death to save your life so I guess not.
Boomer - My father is
Religious - Yeah. United Church of Christ.
Politics - Libertarian where I am now though if I were back in Canada I would be conservative. Religion doesn't really play any part in my political leanings because I don't want my religion to play a part in yours.
Happy Birthday.
mlb:
Age - 33

White - yes

Rich - no, upper middle class

Selfish - Nowhere close to 20% of my income, but certainly donate time and money to organizations who help the poor, specifically children

Boomer - Obviously not given my age

Religious - Believe in God, not in any specific religion (too much hypocrisy)

Political views - you guys think I'm left, others think I'm right, most "political" tests I take put me smack dab in the middle. Not registered to any party, voted in the Democratic primary 4 years ago (Clinton) but ended up voting for McCain in November.

Thanks. I like to think that ECU has it's annual spring game to honour my birthday.
White, Gen X age, definitely not rich. My philosophy in a nutshell - generally lean conservative on fiscal and economic matters, liberal on social and personal choice matters, and support a foreign policy of non-intervention. So overall, I "lean" libertarian, though I can't say I support the Party or purist ideology.

Attend a non-denominational Christian church that I suppose is a bit liberal (relatively speaking) compared to other organized denominations, and support a separation of church and state. Strive to judge everyone based on their individual character only, not by which demographic "group" they belong.

The enumeration was more about number of times married and not about number of current spouses. And yes, what I first noticed about my wife was that she was smoking hot. I just thought it would be a little over the top to put the "smoking" in the initial description.
