D.J. Cooper will return to Ohio U. for his senior season, according to his mother, Dionne Cooper. Quote from the article:

"When asked if Dj was contemplating transferring, Mrs. Cooper responded, "No. That was never even a conversation." Cooper's Twitter account caused fans some unrest, but Tuesday's announcement of Jim Christian as Ohio's next head coach appears to have won over the star point guard. "Dj met with Coach Christian and he is very excited," Mrs. Cooper said.

Allegedly.

Honestly I am not surprised, though if I were an ou fan I would be relieved.

If he wanted to leave he has to sit a year and who knows where he lands. OU should start next season ranked in the top 30 if not the top 25
It's only a surprise if you're a rumor-mongering Akron blogger.

yeah i don't think i ever really thought he'd leave but it did cross my mind more than a few times. but it's nice to see his mom confirm that he's not going anywhere. he has a good thing going at Ohio and luckily for us, he knows it and wants to hold on to it for one more year. i'm hoping the other guys will follow his lead; i imagine they will.

That is HUGE for Ohio. I was very impressed with his play in the tourney. Congrats to the Bobcats!

You were not convinced that DJ was in Chicago for spring break? What more do you need?

What I love is the fact he called OU a trainwreck... This is a guy whos team was the worst in the MAC (football) and lost the Basketball Championship game to them..

Twitter updates. Yeah, that's it. Tweets make anything official.
I think I started twittering at 12, but that was a while back. :sly:
Why was Cooper even considering transferring before his senior season? Where was he looking at?

Cooper probably wasn’t considering transferring. It was an Akron fan's delusion.

Actually, that's a good phrase to use when describing the content of most blogs.
