The lead was just slightly too great. The lead was 16 with a bit over ten minutes to go, and they got it to 5 with about 1:30 remaining. If they had kept it a bit closer, I think KU would've stolen it at the end.

They probably are and will be for a long time unless Calipari figures out a way to allow him to play high schoolers on his team.
