Martin made third team Detroit as a junior.
Martin started fast but was injured midway through the season (Hip Injury) Not sure how many games he missed, could have been half the season. Community had a rough year, a lot of talent but the coach (Ray Reeves) was fired midway through the year and the team had to forfeit its playoff victories because of the use of an ineligible player, kid from Renaissance. Don't know Community's status for next season in regards to the new coach etc.? I seen Martin play over the Xmas holidays and he can play, had 16 pts in the game I seen. Solid built kid with good quickness and jumping ability, can go to the basket and also shoot the 3. Hope he sticks with his commitment to Coach Murphy.

BTW, is the All-Detroit 2nd team better than the 1st team all-Detroit? Just asking....
I thought in Lee's case it was interesting that the writer picked two of his teammates as first team West and Lee second team.
Also some of the unsigned seniors (see different thread) are mentioned on these teams.
The guys to look at are the juniors on these teams. These represent potential EMU recruiting targets. Some of the names did not make Steve Bell's list of top 30 published much earlier last year. John Williams from Southfield Lathrup comes to mind.

Not sure why Lee made only 2nd team, he can play! Perhaps because he only pl;ayed at Romulus for 2 years. Politics?
Williams from Southfield Lathrup really came on this season, had a great year must have really developed - good combo guard.
Or maybe he didn't have the ball enough.
I thought E.C. controlled the ball during the games I saw on MHSAA.TV.
And yes (!!) the strength of h.s. ball in MI is the '13 class. It is flat out loaded.
