Those schools are now ranked 5th, 3rd (T), 7th and 6th, respectively, in Final Four appearances. I don't think Ohio State gets the respect that it deserves as a traditional hoops power.

App. School
18 North Carolina, UCLA*
15 Duke, Kentucky
13 Kansas
11 Ohio State*
9 Louisville
8 Indiana, Michigan State
6 Arkansas, Cincinnati, Michigan**, Oklahoma State
5 Georgetown, Houston, Illinois
4 Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Kansas State, LSU, Oklahoma, Syracuse, UNLV, Utah, Villanova*
3 California, Iowa, Marquette, Memphis**, N.C. State, San Francisco, Texas
I never thought I would pull for the cardinals but GO CARDS!!! I hope they own X.
Yeah from the looks of those numbers OSU is underrated at hoops. I so don't care about that game though. I only care about one of them.
So, Self and Calipari could meet again in the finals?

That Kansas/NC game was crazy today until the last two minutes.
I will be rooting for the Cardinals. It is a sure sign of the End of Times.03-wink
So far, i am 40-24 in picking all the games. Had 9 of the sweet 16 right. Had 5 of the elite 8 right. Now got 2 of the 4 final four right. My championship game was ky and kansas with ky winning it all.

Cal has to get by pitino, then self.
I don't root for the Cardinals, I just root against Calipari.
I kind of want KY and KU in the championship game. We all remember what happened last time they played each other for NC. Please let history repeat itself.
Pretty funny. The entire Tiger fan base will be rooting for Louisville. Or against UK, however you want to frame it.

I'm still holding out hope there's a way they can both lose. 04-rock

My son suggested the best possible outcome is for Kentucky to win it all and then have it vacated.

Smart kid.
TBF, 4 of Ohio State's FF's came when the NCAA tourney was 2nd to the NIT.

Also, unlike blue bloods, they had some really lean years between 1962 to 1989. Only 7 tourney appearances in 27 years. KU, UNC, Duke, etc have nothing like that stretch in their backgrounds. That's why they are seen as a lesser historical programs compared to other schools that have a similar NCAA portfolio.

This is a perfect game for a double forfeit and a gas main explosion in the arena.
Since the tournament expanded to 64 teams in 1985, here are the teams with multiple final 4's (including any that have been vacated):

11- Duke
9- UNC
8- Kansas
7- Michigan St.
6- Kentucky
4- Arizona, Florida, UCLA, UConn
3- Louisville, Indiana, Syracuse, UNLV, Michigan, Arkansas, Ohio St.
2- Villanova, Georgetown, Memphis, LSU, Oklahoma, Illinois, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma St., Maryland, Butler
So did you get my message or not
After the early 1960s- Ohio State went several decades with some success but nothing huge. A Final Four in the late 1990s, and some early 1990s good teams.

Mata has brought them back to being pretty perennial.

The Big Ten was Indiana.
Ohio State has the best facilities on the planet. I took a tour of it last week. Their arena is as big as the one we played at downtown.
