Well we play Auburn every year....Alabama has just been a little butt hurt since their last game with us. If we win again they probably won't come to Troy ever again

South plays both Alabama and Auburn every year. Both home and away. In fact USA plays Auburn tonight.
The Alabama teams are more willing to play the other schools in the state as long as it isn't football.
You'll see a basketball game thrown in every once in awhile and baseball and softball play each other fairly regularly.
Yeah they don't want the Wal Mart fans to realize there are other football teams in the state besides Alabama and Auburn.
Thats not possible, we've been told in Arkansas that SEC schools shouldnt play SBC schools because if the SBC school wins it ruins the SEC school's ability to recruit. In fact there is already talk around here about how MTSU will now be able to out recruit Tennessee because they beat them.
ASU plays at Memphis today. Thankfully the big storm system coming in has decided to stall over Fayettville, and we should be able to get our game in tonight.
This is kind of pathetic there there has to be 7000 people at this game and most of them are Troy fans

I think its safe to say we won this one. Its 9-0 Troy in the top of the 9th alabama has 1 out and no one on base.
So since South already took two out of three against Troy, and Troy just beat Bama, But USA lost to Bama in Tuscaloosa. We had a game scheduled at home against Auburn, it got cancelled, lost to Auburn tonight in Auburn, and got Bama headed to town in two weeks.....
What does any of that mean??? We need to have a state championship challenge.
UAB only plays Alabama State, Jax State, Alabama, Troy and Samford, they are disqualified.
edit:noticed they do play Troy as well. They do play Jax State like 4 times, alot of games for a non-conference opponent. I still say we disqualify them.
we may not be consistent, but we usually play well against the Barn and the Bammers. God I love kicking those guys' asses, I can't wait for sports radio in the morning! Go Troy Go!
ASU chose to take today off. Lost 7-1 to Memphis. We threw 8 different pitchers, not a single one of which threw at all against UALR. We then chose to rest 3 starters, including our best hitter.
You can be assured it was not pretty, though we did play error free baseball.

We played Alabama in Troy in 2008. It was a great game.
