The only 4 teams from the state of Ohio in the NCAA tournament are in the Sweet 16. Only 3 can advance to the Elite 8 because UC and O$U play eachother, but this is awesome for the greatest state in the nation. This is the first time it's ever happened where 4 teams from a state have all won their first two games.

The NCAA tournement is wild this year!!!
4 #1 seeds. Kentucky, Cuse, UNC, MSU
2 #2 seeds. O$U, Kansas
2 #3 seeds. Baylor, Marquette
3 #4 seeds. Indiana, Louisville, Wisconsin
1 #6 seed. UC
1 #7 seed. Florida
1 #10 seed. Xavier
1 #11 seed. NC State
04-bow1 #13 seed. Ohio 04-bow
I would love to see OSU lose to an in-state school (Cinci). We'll see how many of these people praising the State of Ohio's record will root for Cinci if OSU gets knocked out. Or how many people who claim that their OSU fandom comes from a feeling of state loyalty and not from just being a douchebag front-runner are telling the truth.

That's awesome.

The capital of college basketball is certainly not in Columbus.
I wish UC, Ohio State, Xavier and Ohio could play a tournament in Cleveland together to honor the four sweetsixteen teams.
I was thinking about this last nite, although I went to bed before Cincy finished. Looks like OH has become a basketball state.

I suspect it's all the migration up from KY.

that's actually a cool idea! maybe a little two-day thing around the holidays. it could even be like a round-robin instead of a single elimination thing. whatever the case, i think it would generate a lot of interest within the state. i doubt if OSUcks would ever go for it though.
Neither would Xavier or UC.

I'm hoping for a XU v UC finals now. That would be AWESOME.

Cleveland? None of them are anywhere near Cleveland.

Make it central: Chillicothe.
Back in the early 2000's we had the "Rock and Roll Shootout" in Cleveland. I know BG, CSU, UT and KSU variously participated. UT beat UC one year. After KSU beat Boston College in '03, it got very hard to get major conference schools to participate. It lasted one more year, but BC cancelled that year and KSU beat St. Bonnie who filled in for them by about 30. That was the last year. It sort of moved to CSU, but wasn't the same.
As many of you are aware, Miami still plays Xavier and Dayton every year in hoops....also UC most years.

We all used to play all these schools in football every year until the 70's when Dayton and Xavier either dropped football altogether (XU) or dropped to a lower division (Dayton). The unofficial "round robin" of games was informally called the Miami Valley championship.

The state of Illinois has nothing on OHIO!
It actually is a sad state of affairs when zero teams from the many D-I programs in Illinois even made the field of 68.

Greg Stempin stuffing Kenny Satterfield on a last ditch shot by Cinci to take the lead. One of my favorite Rocket moments of all time.
