Well, the women are getting killed with rebounds and poor shooting. Their shots look like "just throw it up and hope it goes in", no follow through, terrible passing, and poor defense. I won't say the game is over, but unless they come out the second half and shoot better and play defense better, it very well may be.
Good lord. This is why I don't watch Women's hoops. First off, THERE ARE NEVER UPSETS in their tournament. The games are usually blowouts, and I don't know why seeing as no one can jump and there are tons of 50's style set shots. Look at these scores! Just silly. Just cancel the thing and crown Baylor already.

I was all over the Ohio upset having remembered that Ohio did a number on Georgetown two years ago (Cooper was the man back then too).
I'm really shocked at how poorly the MAC women did in post season. Everyone thought the MAC women were really strong this year, but it didn't pan out...

The sad thing of a 30 point blow-out, is that Eastern played much better during the season, than they did today, but the only thing people are going to remember for a while is our last game. I think we were a bit over-matched by South Carolina, but when you can't get shots to fall, and everything your opponent throws up goes in, it just spells disaster.
Onward and upward, let's get preparing for next year.
Steve, it's not just the MAC that is playing poorly in the tournament, although having not watched a single EMU women's game, I was shocked by their lack of athleticism--not that S. Carolina had any high flyers! So far, there has not been 1 upset yet, the closest was a #9 losing by three to a #8. It is the damndest thing, I've been following the results for years, the tournament always goes chalk and the scores are rarely close.
On ESPN's website they have 6 "experts" choose their final 4 and the only teams picked were: Baylor, Stanford, Notre Dame, UConn, and a couple for Maryland. It is absolutely uncanny.
Really proud of the ladies they had a banner season, going to the Dance is no small feat. South Carolina. Did what they had to do to took away the outside game and forced it to lowpost where we had little chance of winning.
