4 middle tennessee
5 Marshall

3drexel
6 UCF
How the hell did Marshall get a 5 seed? That's a slap in the face.
Marshall got hot very late, but the limped to a sixth place finish in the regular season

They were picked second in the preseason. Greatly underachieved. I think the seed is about right.
If UCF wins against Drexel in Philadelphia, they'll likely play St joes in Philadelphia. I hope they stomp Martelli's face in.

Actually I hope UNI doesn't give them a chance and takes care of Martelli before the second round.

Yeah I hope they both lose in the first round.

What does under/over achieving have to do with seeding in a tournament? Marshall was in the first four out of Lunardi's bracket before the loss to Memphis. When you compare their resume to Washington/Arizona/Seton Hall/Tennessee it looks pretty good. I think they had a strong NCAA argument due to the weak bubble this year.
I don't think Lunardi was on the Committee. Underachieving may not have anything to do with seeding, but they lost 8 of their last 13 regular season games. Sure they won in the tournament, but I don't even think they were on the bubble. One of the committee members pointed out that St. Bonaventure's win took the last spot. He named five or six teams that they were going to vote on if St Bonnie hadn't won, and Marshall wasn't one of them.

If they had finished the regular season stronger, they might have gotten more consideration.
If Rice got a bid, I'm sure we would have as well but simply declined. We need to figure out at this point what we're going to do with our coach. Keep him or move on. Either way, we need to decide so we can move on with our plans and start preparing for next season.

Rice had a winning record. We didn't. There are no teams in that field with losing records.
Everybody that had a winning record except Tulsa are playing in postseason. Obviously Tulsa is playing on the Coaching Carousel.
Wow! A thread to discuss the NIT. (And we couldnt even make it in there). Whats next a thread to talk about professional soccer? You need therapy. NOBODY gives a $hit.

Go F yourself. This thread title clearly states what it's about, so if you don't want to talk about it you don't have to bother clicking the link.

And professional soccer is more popular than any sport in the world. You may not like it, but there are many, many more people who care about soccer than those who care about what you do.
I like soccer.
Since Randy suggested it, and we now have a former Blazer playing in professional soccer, someone should keep us informed of his season throughout the soccer season...similar to the way we did with Joe Webb and Roddy White.

Great idea Randy!!!
