From the C-USA board

Give em' hell Larry!
:ncaabbs:

Agree with every word he said!

Here is a taste.

Quote:People who say we are not in the tournament, are idiots. They are idiots. They obviously aren’t going by what the NCAA is going by. The criteria is based off of RPI and strength of schedule. You are not allowed to factor anything else in. So, put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Another good read.

C-USA deserves more respect.

I agree they definitely deserve a bid. The guys who act like they know whats going on are idiots. The same ones who had us in for the last 3 games of the regular season last year and then freaked the eff out when we got in the play in game all because of our loss in the conference tournament.

UCF just effed theirself with that blowout loss. And Im not all that sad about it.
UCF is not CUSA anymore they are going to be the new Depaul in the Big East
I hope he won't have to eat those words after the selection show tomorrow. Wonder if they're going to send 11 teams from one conference to the tournament again like they did the Big East last year? Who'll be the lucky conference this time around? The Big 10? Someone's gonna get ****** royally, someone always does. They don't hold Conference USA in any regard beyond what Memphis brings to the table. IMO, there should be no less than 3 schools having their name called to represent in the Big Dance, but, I can't shake the feeling that only one (Memphis) will get the nod.

No, UCF is the new USF.
SMU is the new Depaul.

Houston is the new Rutgers.
Matrix, Lunardi still has Southern Miss as a 10 seed. Not one of these projections has them out. I would be absolutely stunned if every single projection was wrong.

Looks like Lunardi got them in. Can't remember their seeding, but I think it's higher than 10. I'm happy that they got in, I'm just 03-puke that alabama was chosen. I want Creighton to just anhilate them.
both CUSA teams are in the 8/9 bracket, meaning they face the #1 seed in the second round. I haven't been to empty.org yet. I bet they are pissed they did't get a better seed. Probably deserved at least a 7.

Based on how USM finished, I thought they would be a 11 or 12. Guess the committee looked at their RPI
If I'm Memphis, I'm more pissed I didn't get put in the South region than about the seeding.

That being said, I think Memphis deserved a 5 or 6 seed in the South.
They should be playing against 12 VCU or 11 Colorado and be on a collision course with Calipari and Kentucky.

They earned it by winning 20 of there last 23 games, the regular season title, and then conference tournament. They were a pre-season #10 pick that lost early games and struggled with injuries that righted the ship at the right time.
I would agree with that. I thought Memphis's seed was BS. They should have been a 5 seed IMHO. Marshall just didn't do enough.

Just take a quick glance at this. If you start at the top and work your way down, what is the first team not in the tourney?

Then look at NC State, BYU, Texas, South Florida, Virginia, etc. I'm not saying Marshall should/shouldn't have been in, but when comparing resumes Marshall is significantly better than they got credit for.
