officiating was one sided in the Western game. We shot 18 free throws. They shot 41. The way the game was played, those figues should have been about even. No way that should have occurred.

Maybe we fouled more than they did. Part of Steve's game plan is to always "make more free throws than the opponent shoots." And we've done it many times. I didn't see the game, and I'm sure there were some missed calls and bad calls. But usually the team that fouls the most shoots fewer free throws.

If they hadn't been really playing tough defense and pressing and mugging our players on occasion I would agree, but as you sometimes say about our local newspaper, it wasn't fair and balanced, IMO.

Regardless of the refs, WKU did not take advantage of it and gave us the opportunity to win by making only 21 of 41.
