Here are my predictions for the MAC Tournament- MAC Tournament Predictions

I like Akron to win it all.
Kent is my sleeper team.

Who do you have winning it and who's your sleeper team?

Sleeper team - Toledo!!!
Hoping to God UB finally goes to the dance.
NIU comes alive and wins it all. BWAAAHAAAHAAAAA.
Contenders:
Akron - They're built for the tournament with great depth and experience
Ohio - They always get hot around this time and know how to win
Buffalo - Talented and experienced, but for some reason have trouble winning the MAC

Challengers:
Kent - Deep, talented, and experienced but lacking in confidence and cohesion
BGSU - I think they're being underestimated this year
EMU - Their style of play gives them a chance in most games

Sleepers:
Miami - One final hurrah for Charlie Coles? Mavunga makes them dangerous.
Toledo - They have some talent but aren't deep by any measure

Underacheivers:
Ball State - A one-man team in Jarrod Jones
WMU - Never became what they could have been

One-and-done:
CMU - A first-round loss might be the Zeiglers' final game
NIU - They still have a long way to go on the rebuilding project

Me too, but if UB has to go through Ohio and Akron to make the dance...I'm not liking those chances at all.
I think Buffalo with Watt is gonna be the team this year. They were my preseason pick to win the east and almost got it. My sleeper would be Kent State. Very dangerous team. Just when you write them off they don't have the pressure that Akron has. No bad being the #4 seed in the MAC. Hard to beat a team three times. Do you really think Kent state will go 0-3 vs Akron and the same for Buffalo vs Ohio. My final is Buffalo over Kent State. Unless Reggie calls Watt for three like he did with Idbihi 6 years ago.
Kent State has already lost 3 in a row to Akron. MAC Tournament Finals last year and two games this year.

Any of those four can get hot and win. Buffalo has the experience along with Kent. Ohio can light anyone up at any given time just ask Akron, Kent or even Georgetown for that matter.

or even Buffalo! 03-lmfao
Big games today in the MAC. Kent v Akron and Ohio v. Buffalo Which I have in my predictions. I have Akron and Ohio advancing.

i like it! 04-rock
Ohio vs. Akron would be the best match up for the MAC having teams who have received decent national attention, and look the best in paper for this season.
The new format achieved the desired results. Guaranteed we have a solid product in the NCAA field. Unfortunately nobody took care of business to garner an at large bid. Hopefully this changes in the near future.
Toledo is on the rise, OU will be extremely strong next year as will Akron. UB and KSU are losing 4 senior starters but I would say that they rebuild. Things are changing.
A blue team will win.

yeah as much as this season has been awesome (and it's not over yet!), next year has the potential to be even better for us. we have no (as in ZERO) seniors on this year's team! everyone's back!!! 04-rock

that is scary. i expect some lofty results from akron and ohio next year! It's probably our best shot at getting 2 bids in tourney in a long long time. preseason expectations of course...

It starts with Akron in Puerto Rico! 3 wins there is a great start!

Story wise for ESPN Kent is the better story with a new head coach and the 20/10 season/conference wins streak. I know it gets over played but the conference doesn't have a better story. I think a Kent-Ohio match up would be putting the MAC's best foot forward for the national audience.
This is from a non biased WMU fan.

If you want to talk about "story" then Akron should be in the finals over Kent. The whole Dambrot, Lebron, hiring Tressel, Zeke was a top 150 recruit, etc...stuff has Kent trumped. Unfortunately Kent undeachieved a little this year. They are a much better team than their record. But announcers go bananas over the above mentioned junk.
Well we got Akron and OU. The two best teams for the entire course of the season. The MAC winner this year should get a 12 or 13 seed. No 14 or 15 hopefully.
