Thanks, KL. 10 teams that averaged more than 10K/game for conference games - That is unreal!

Looks like a few traditional powers are winning back old fans, too. St. John's, DePaul, Cincy - Gotta love it. This is why the Big east is the best in hoops!

Not a bad drop off from conference to non-conference games.

Here's a look at how the 2013 Big East Conf might look like, using 2011-2012 figures.

NOTE: Big East plays 9 conf home games while CUSA and A-10 play 8. Some Big East teams average 2,000-3,000 more per conf home game than they do for non-conf home games...so the new Big East teams should see a nice bounce in attendance during their first few years in the conf and hopefully the Big East will keep an 18 game conf schedule.

2011-2012 Conf Game Attendance looking at 2013-2014 Big East Line-up:

1) Louisville 22,038
2) Memphis 16,696
3) Marquette 16,040
4) Connecticut 13,517
5) Georgetown 12,994

11) Notre Dame 8,653
12) Seton Hall 8,362
13) Temple 7,177
14) UCF 6,836
15) Rutgers 6,451
16) USF 5,015
17) Houston 4,135
18) SMU 2,104
Damn...I didn't realize Louisville's arena held that many.
ours is pretty good considering we played a HORRIBLE OOC and we were averaging 4500 a game for those teams....our fans started coming out in force once the Big East games started...
27k, holy crap

USF is just pathetic, and playing in the Tampa Bay Times Forum is no excuse, as that is an NBA-level facility. If anything, attendance should have gone way up, what with the great run our team has made this year. Awful.

USF should try to get a cafeteria to open up in the Forum. They could do an early bird special for the St. Pete crowd.
Cincinnati's attendance is certainly moving in the right direction. I am pleased with nearly 11k per game...9 teams averaging 10k+ is crazy...
Anyone have a link for attendance rankings for the other conferences?
San Diego State...12,000 (12,414 is capacity)

NICE!!! That would put us in 5th compared to the other schools in the Big East.

Keep winning, they will come. Winning cures a lot of ills.

Thanks. Looks like Big East numbers went up slightly from last year and ACC's numbers went down slightly.

Going forward losing Syracuse will hurt a lot attendance wise. Memphis will be a great addition while SMU, UCF, and Houston will pull the numbers lower.
