No way MUTS would win the Sun Belt Tourney.

Way to keep it classy Goattoppers.

Hard to argue with that.

Seriously, enjoy the NIT. It's more than WKU will do this postseason.

Of course, this wasn't one of our "best teams ever," either.

Lol. So much love between WKU and MT. Loving it!
Although the banter above is typical from either fanbase after one of them loses, I will say I was hoping the MUTS would win last night as well as tonight. The Sun Belt needed the MUTS to make the finals of the SBC Touney. Of course, I was hoping it'd be a MUTS/WKU final with the Toppers winning again. If the MUTS made the finals and lost, there would have still been a remote, albeit very remote, chance the MUTS would have gotten an atlarge bid.

The MUTS had a very good season and without a doubt had the best team. Sadly, I think it's even more evident that the MUTS didn't have the best coaching. Some will blame it on free throws but seriously, the #1 seed playing the #9 seed should not need to worry about free throws in the last minutes of the game.

With that said, we all know the MUTS have the best coach and team on the women's side.

Please keep unsubstantiated rumors off our board, this is not the Haven.

I don't think we are as good as our record indicates but I agree: Two teams in the tourney would have been sweet. One in the tourney and one in the NIT isn't bad though (or is that normal for out conference? I don't follow b ball unless our team is decent).

It's normal if the regular season champion does not make the NCAA.

I've never posted a rumor on this board before....what happened was a fact and you had no right to dismiss it. Nobody held back when firing at Ken McDonald.

Do they normally go to the NIT?

NIT takes any regular season champ that doesn't get to the NCAAs.
Ah, thanks. Didn't know how it worked...

It was a fact because someone told you so? Okay.

I'll let the older couple post it on here....would that make you feel better. For real though I'll leave yet alone, but It was not professional and you can't blame some for being offended for the choice of words that was used. I hope they use better judgement from now on.
