Special performance in Kalamazoo, which is a damn hard place to win. Congratulations to everyone associated with the program!
Here, Here!

Our first time over .500 in the league since the turn of the century, I believe. I'm so happy that Coach Murphy and our players proved EVERYONE wrong and showed that not only are they better than we thought, but they had what it took to win some big games and, more importantly, the division.

I think Murph sealed up MAC coach of the year as well. The coaches picked us to finish last in the entire MAC...we still have a decent chance at the 4th seed. Talk about exceeding expectations.
Out friggin standing!
Cheers to everyone.04-cheers

This is a helluva rebuilding year.

No kidding!

If you would've told me we'd have won the division before the year started, I would've laughed at you...and I'm an optimist by nature.

Kudos to this crop of players. Hopefully Lampley gets some All-MAC honors...he absolutely deserves it. No one knew who would be "the guy" after Bowdry graduated, and Darrell took the role head on. There were some ups and downs, but at the end of the day, he is easily the most valuable player on this team and it is a shame that he runs out of eligibility. We'll definitely miss him.
Bless You Boys! You rock!

Now, if Eastern wins at Toledo on Saturday and Ohio loses at Miami, we're getting a bye. Mmmm, what should I do? Take a chance that they'll be a home game on Monday or go to Toledo to guarantee I see them one more time?... What to do, what to do... Okay, road trip!

I concur. Very well put.

Another senior we'll miss is Antonio Green, who I think should be called "Big Shot Tony" from here on out.

ROAD TRIP!
Just wanted to pop over and say congrats Eagles fans! Your AD is doing thing right!
Thank you sir. Congrats on winning in Akron. You guys got a hell of a team.
Wow! Very proud of the team, the players and the coach. Also, very happy for Jim Streeter at EMU who, after so many losing seasons in football and hoops deserves to revel in some long overdue happier times in EMU athletics.
Agree - Streets is the man. I 'll bet he's a happy camper today after the long bus ride from Kazoo

Kudos to Jim Streeter
Congrats to EMU! Nice rebuilding job there.

BTW, we're next! (next year)

Congratulations to the EMU men's bb team and Rob Murphy. I think this is the first winning MAC record since the Earl Boykins squad. I believe Milton Barnes was 9-9 his last year and Ramsey had a couple 8-8 years.

Of all those predictions of finishing last in the MAC, I was among them. Their record was horrible last year, lost an incredible player in Bowdry, and first year coach. Never would have expected the first winning year in the MAC since 1998.
