Brett McMurphy of CBSSports.com intimated that the addition of Temple could be a preemptive move by the Big East in anticipation of Louisville getting an invite down the road from the Big 12, which was also a thought that I had when Memphis was invited by the conference a couple of weeks ago. This dovetails into a report by Deep Shades of Blue tonight that BYU is “aggressively pursuing Big 12 membership”. It appears that no expansion moves would be made by the Big 12 until there’s a permanent replacement for current interim commissioner Chuck Neinas, but the signs continue to point to Louisville and BYU as the league’s primary targets.

I also have issues with the way Frank puts things. Not hat he is wrong, but doesn't take into considerations of the what if factors. Yes Louisville is a long shot for conferences like the BigTen, and the SEC as well as the ACC, BUT Louisville works well in the makeup or each of those conferences as well as the Big12. I would prefer looking at the what if factors than just say there not a shot in hell that he has done quite often. If Louisville would have went a different route back in the thirties or even forties they would more than likely be THE flagship school of the state, but certain hires in coaches not to mention presidents have hurt more than some can possibly imagine over the decades not just recently. The old should've. Would've. Could've motto is one we have to live with, but the what if is something people should really look at for the landscape as we know it could've been much different than what we see today.
Frank is you typical outsider, he only knows the stereotype of Louisville, so that's what he believes, and you or I arn't going to change is mind.
Frank lives in the corrupt and dying Rust-belt and still swears how great Notre Dame and Big 10 Football are. He cannot see pass his bias to the past!. He is just another Terry. Both are blinded by their Big 10 and Notre Dame Bias. Both are nice guys but bias nevertheless.

The Big 10, SEC, ACC & Big 12 should be begging Louisville to join. We will be making more money than Notre Dame soon enough. Louisville will be taking bids from other conferences!

I think that you are a nice guy too, Wilkie, although blinded by your Louisville bias (similar to Frank and I). :)
