With the return of national player of the year candidates Jason Gardner and Luke Walton, and an incoming top-five recruiting class, Arizona Men's Basketball should be a lock as the preseason's number one team in the country. Anticipation for the season will be at an all-time high as the Wildcats will be poised for another run at the National Championship. The excitement all begins with the first official practice of the year - Midnight Madness at McKale Center!


The 2002-03 Arizona Women's Basketball team has depth, lots of it, and that's something the Cats haven't had in a long time. Head coach Joan Bonvicini is hoping that this will be the key to the Wildcats' return to the NCAA tournament for the first time since the 1999-2000 season. Optimism should be high with the return of starting seniors Julie Brase and Krista Warren, and 2002 Pac-10 Freshman of the Year Dee-Dee Wheeler, and newcomer Shawntinice Polk, who has been named to the WomensCollegeHoops.com "Top 21 Freshmen of Impact for 2002-03" list.


Midnight Madness highlights include:

Slam dunk contest

Doors will open for free admission into Midnight Madness at 9:30 PM.

Come early and support your ARIZONA VOLLEYBALL team as they take on Stanford, and get the best seat in the house for Midnight Madness. The match begins at 8 PM and tickets are only $6. Call 621-CATS for more information.
