So KoKo is sprawled out on the bed (as usual) as I take my morning shower. Not really sure why, but for some reason this morning I'm singing a little bit LOUDER than usual in the shower. Please understand that I come from a talented family of singers (Dad, Brother and both my kids). I can't sing at all so I live my dreams out belting out my songs in the shower, where I think I sound pretty darn awesome. Like I said, I was a bit LOUD this a.m. and as I am in serious belt-out mode I hear a close-up bark. Then I see through the frosted glass shower door a nose and then a paw. Well, it scared me because he's normally under the covers snoring. I opened the door and the look on his face said it all....it was "Momma, are you ok?" After I reassured him no one was in the shower murdering me I realized I must have sounded like I was in distress. Ok, so maybe I'm not so awesome a shower singer after all. Note to self: if you're going to sing in the shower, keep the volume where you don't scare the crap out of your dog.

Maybe the only thing wrong was that he saw you naked.

Dogs are something else. Years ago when my Bunga was just a baby, he is at the Bridge now, I had a really bad coughing spell, so bad that I could not catch my breath after. He was freaking out. From than on every time a coughed just a little, he would be on my head clawing and crying. Poor baby. He thought his mama was going to die. I miss that funny goofy knucklehead.

One afternoon when I was about 3, my mom was taking a bath and I decided I wanted to go to my grandma's. I pulled a chair to the front door and let myself out. As you can imagine, my mom was hysterical when she got out of the tub. Luckily, a neighbor lady down the street saw me walking with my dog and came and got me. Our dog was an old stray mutt who wandered up when I was a few months old. She would always run wild for a bit when she got out. However, that dog instinctively knew that I wasnt supposed to be out and stayed right by my side whole whole way down the street.

I miss that ol' girl.

sorry...I just get defensive when anyone mentions d.j. and me...the YMT porn boys thought making funnies about inappropriateness was ok...made me ill. Ko sleeps like that alot too. His legs are so long that it's really a balancing act for him to do it though. Evidently, it must be comfy for dogs to lay like that.
