Who is this towering idiot? Is he in private practice?
Lies lies and more lies.....

Right, I would love to see that this guy's private practice went bankrupt. As if the Rotary Club's report was making stuff up...God, this city is corrupt.

Ah well, I doubt most people care.

My nephew works there, and he was also on the task force when the mayor first went into office. I don't know how involved they are with daily activities at the MAS, but I think their intentions are good - they have on control over the situation at all. They were simply not able to dig deep enough in their investigation - the employees probably didn't cooperate for fear of losing their jobs, or worse.

Dr. Tower is flat out wrong if he thinks there have been to ties with dog fighting rings. I would like to hear his entire interview, rather than the snippets that were shown.

They need to privatize the shelter and get rid of the employees who are protected by their union. Until then the city's hands are tied.

Well, if he is a good guy, then I will reserve further judgment, although I find it hard to see how his words could have been taken out of context. But your final point is dead on; as long as there are union employees involved, nothing will ever change, since this mayor is no more concerned about it than the last one.
I cannot see MissJ's embedding

There is a recording of an MAS employee saying to kill all pit bulls and anything that looks like a pit bull, then there is a vet making excuses for them and essentially saying the Rotary Club report was wrong.
Check out this add....makes me sick

I'm sure that vet will gladly make excuses for this.
Unreal!
My son (now aged 9) was out riding his bike on Christmas Day 3 years ago and a pit bull got away from his owner, bit my son on his arm (missing his brachial artery by centimeters) and dragged him off the bike because he wanted to "play". So needless to say, I'm not a big fan of pit bulls. They may as well be wolverines.....they all look alike to me.

Not all pits, are bad....actually most are love bugs. Sorry that happened to your son, but any other breed of a large dog could have easily done the same. Glad your son is ok.

I totally understand...when I was a really little girl I reached down to pet a chihuahua and the little devil dog ended up biting me in the face...something you don't ever forget. To this day, I am scared to death of chihuahuas.

*SPIT TAKE*
that's hysterical (and yes creepy)

well, I hate byb's
but if it weren't for that crazy lady who got shut down, I wouldn't have my boy, Charlie Brown. So I'm conflicted.

He's a BIG basset hound. Big lab-looking block head. weighs about 60lbs.
all muscle.

he's coming around to where he's not afraid of everything now (he wasn't socialized at ALL). but that has its disadvantages.

Like when he comes racing across the room and BOUNDS into my lap.
*OOF*
