Boise State is still considering moving its football program to the Big East this fall — one year ahead of its scheduled conference change — but the Broncos want to cover the cost of any move and find a stable home for their other sports programs first, Athletic Director Mark Coyle told the Idaho Statesman on Wednesday morning.

I'm pretty sure we'd be all over it if the BE would just open its BB arms and embrace our terrible basketball team and other sports too....

Come on guys, lets get this think taken care of...

Sorry homie, but it looks like the Statesman must be having some linking issues. But, don't despair, I linked the story above using TinyURL...

If that's the same story....?
The tone of his comments lead me to believe that they are going to make this happen.

I sure hope so. My season tix would be so much more awesome with a BE schedule as opposed to the MWC we are supposed to have.
I haven't seen this addressed anywhere, but there is a very real chance that Alliance will swallow/kill the WAC. How is that going to impact Boise's move?

That's pretty much what we're wondering. There is some speculation that some hodgepodge of other western Bball teams are out there like -- 'Adding "Houston Baptist, Texas Pan-American, Utah Valley, Cal State Bakersfield. Add in UT-Arlington, Seattle, Denver, and Boise State, and that makes eight." for the WAC'

But I'm not really sure about that...

I'm wondering if there's any possibility in hell that the BE would extend a full invite our way should things crumble and fall apart. They want us for 2012, there's money to spare, we can negotiate. Just seems like a possibility nobody is really exploring... I for one would jump into that ship with both feet without looking once....

I personally think that if the alliance kills the WAC, it will take a few years for that to happen. They won't kill off the WAC right away. It is going to put us in a world of hurt, but we'll have a while to figure it out.
Sounds like great news if true, because right now the BE has allowed the 2012 football schedules to look pathetic. Slot Boise into WVU's place and it should work out fine. Of course it would be exceedingly odd to have Boise at Heinz during rivalry week...

WAC will probably just become non FB league similar to what the big West did when it dropped FB.
Come on Broncos......

You can do it......

Karl Benson is a former Boise St. athlete. He's taking over the Sun Belt.

You do the math.

2 points miko.

1) Allowed?!? Really?

2) The only difference between this 2012 schedule and the 2005-2011 schedules is WVU isn't on it. It isn't like 5 teams were switched out.
