He is considered by many to be the number 1 HS player in the Nation, in Scout.com he is Number 3. Rivals and Lemming have him Number 1.
Maryland wide receiver Derrick Williams is announcing his decision on December 22, at 3:30 pm EST, on ESPN.
Derrick Williams' father, Dwight, denies that his son has made his decision yet, although the decision will be announced tomorrow (12/22) at 3:30 pm eastern time on ESPN.
"We aren't going to limit ourselves to three, or even five schools," said Mr. Williams. "Right now, we are still evaluating. We've had our phones shut down so no one could reach us. But there's been a lot of pressure and it's just been hard for us to find any time to evaluate the schools. So we are still doing that. There is just a lot going on. I'm not gonna say anything about what school he might choose.
"I have no preference about where my son goes. I think he's still considering Florida State, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisville and South Carolina. Louisville has such a potent offense and South Carolina came in late when Steve Spurrier took over. He (officially) visited Penn State, Texas, Florida, Oklahoma and Tennessee."
Williams (6-0, 193, 4.4) is from Roosevelt High in Greenbelt (Md.). He is ranked by Scout.com as the nation's #2 wide receiver and the #3 prospect overall.
