The hardest working sports talk show host in the city just landed a show on Mad Dog Radio on Sirius XM. It's a part time spot for now with a chance to land a regular spot. He'll be keeping his show on 730. Nobody has worked harder for something like this than Verno. Well done!
I'm a big fan. Congrats.

Only three sports radio shows worth listening to in Memphis.

Vernon, Hasseltine, and Parrish
The best in the city. #Salute
No doubt that he has the best guest.
congrats to him...guess I'm just too old to listen to him for very long...sounds like he's 12 years old most of the times I did listen.

Eh...maybe so.

But there is a massive drop in listenability (yes I made that word up) after those three shows.
I don't listen except occasionally when Pastner is on or another similar situation. I think he does well enough. But does his going to SiriusXM require him to delve more away from Memphis sports to more of a national sports show or does he do that already?
The Vernon, Parrish and Hasseltine shows are way more tiger than SEC related. Sometimes it seems 560 goes out of its way to talk something other than the Tigers, but that's probably the homer in me coming out.

All three shows are mainly Tigers and Grizzlies.

Usually when they talk SEC, they're making fun of them. Verno makes fun of Dr. Dooley quite a bit.

yep, and Vernon gets Pastner alot, he asks him good questions and it does seem Pastner likes to talk to him more than the usual coachspeak he gives to the 560/sec guys.
Can't stand any of them.

the guy seems to have a good work ethic from what I've heard.

I listen to Parrish once in a blue moon.
I like Verno. Listen to him for some amount of time without fail most days. Congrats to him and Roser!
I don't listen everyday, and don't always agree with opinion of format. That said, this young man has worked very hard. He had a vision, stuck to his plan and it seems to be paying off. Kudos Chris!!!!
