"They are taking everybody's leftovers and hoping to make a great dinner."

Hey Seth, you are 4-16 against this leftover. STFU.
We're proud of that moniker. We ought to name our divisions "Rejects" and "Leftovers"
What was it that John Madden used to say about his Oakland Raiders?

I took a bunch of guys nobody wanted and won the super bowl with them.

(or something to that effect).

:iagree:
From Seth's perspective....I don't know that I would call Memphis leftovers.

Not sure why Seth would even comment... he is the posterchild of coaching average to mediocre teams...he couldn't do anything with USF in CUSA nor has he done much at Va Tech in the ACC.

ya'll had some great talent at USF when he was there and you were always perpetually in the NIT when you should've been in the dance. When VaTech hired him it was definitely a head scratcher.
Circle the wagons boys, it's us against them. Obviously not real familiar with the BE, but hoping that there is a camaraderie amongst conference members here as there was in the MW before it was gutted.

We've got to be careful not to be too self-deprecating. So instead of "Rejects", lets borrow from the food industry and call it "Seconds" - as in slight imperfections so they can't be sold at full price....

So "Seconds" and "Leftovers"?

Anyone? Anyone? <crickets chirping>

You've picked the right fanbase in Memphis then. We've been circling the wagons since 1912.

I prefer we call the divisions Jack Johnson and Tom O'Leary.
It's always us against them, even when we are them lol, that's just how Memphis rolls.

You understand our mindset already then. Its always been us against the world here.
And Boise State fits in perfectly with that mindset!

It goes both ways too.....you will be getting bashed by both the Big Boy conferences.....AND the Sun Belt and the MAC.
The Island of Misfit Toys. Who's gonna be the "Charlie-in-the-Box"?

It's fun to be the rebel conference that no one likes. Especially when we're the #3 conference according to the power rankings.
If we ever want to shut the naysayers up, we must schedule the hardest OOC schedule we can, year in / year out. And Win. That's the only thing that will make people postulate that maybe... just maybe... the never undefeated victor of the Big East might actually have tough competition in the Big East.

Step 1: Win OOC
Step 2: War of the Big East conference schedule
Step 3: Win Bowl games
Step 4: ???
Step 5: PROFIT!
LOL! Seth freaking Greenberg is the last coach who should be talking smack about anything 03-lmfao

Who is Seth Greenberg? Rick Pitino's turds have more coaching acumen than that guy. Seriously, if the ACC wins a bowl game but it doesn't happen, does it make a sound?

Or something.
There was a lot of love between BE school fans after the first ACC raid. We all pulled for each other and routed for each others teams in OOCs. Well, except for Cuse fans who were all pissed that they still had to slum it with us.

Do doubt. He's a classic underachiever who schedules like a sissy. When he was a "leftover," we owned his ass.
