Makes too much sense. San Diego State...Big East...makes absolutely no sense at all...happens. College football realignment defies any and all logic.

We try to do it as a courtesy to ULM fans...as we all know the pain and anguish they feel when they are forced to watch ULM try and be an FBS member. Just trying to help my Warhawk friend...just trying to help.
you saying all three conferences merge? What I see, I like. But you'd have two commissioners losing their jobs and one keeping theirs. This 'merger' won't happen because no commissioner will advocate losing their job.

Not so much a merger, as a reshuffling of the deck along geographic lines.
The Media market argument for expansion says that you need to be spread out to get the most tv dollars. However, I think a smaller footprint with geographically relevant teams would be better suited for regional sports broadcasts like Fox Sports.
There is no question that the Southwest Lineup wouldn't end up on Fox Sports Southwest.

3 Louisiana schools and 4 Alabama schools are a little too much--I can see Monroe--well they have 4 in Alabama!!!
No one is going anywhere in the SBC and no one is coming into the SBC...

I think so. Theres just not been a lot of serious talk about any of the SBC schools in this shake up thing.

I'd agree here.
No one knows where this is gonna stop. How many years did Memphis get mocked for saying that next Tuesday they were gonna get invited into the Big East. Low and Behold it happened.
CUSA was always consideted to be pretty strong and able to survive 1 or 2 defections to the Big East, now they have lost 4 and it was 4 of thier best programs.
I fully believe CUSA and the MWC will merge.
