We really need to form an official 'ECU to the SEC' branch of our Athletic Department. I don't mean to get back on my soap box but I really feel that going independent in football would the best avenue to accomplishing this. We have to prove that we can bring the TV markets of all of North Carolina and some of Virginia AND we have to rise above CUSA in my opinion.
Its only twelve games people.
Terry Holland is a class act and a very good AD. I respect the hell out of him for scheduling us twice in four years when y'all would have sold the game out regardless and could have pulled in Gardner-Webb, Western, etc. and easily won by 30+.
An App fan posted about an e-mail he sent Terry thanking him for the complimentary things he's said about ASU and for working out a deal to schedule us. He also mentioned that while trying to move from FCS to FBS, ASU is experiencing many of the same obstacles as ECU is in trying to move to a BCS conference (great fan support, not an attractive enough market).

The fact that he even took the time to reply to an ASU fan (which he certainly didn't have to) says a lot to me. I'm rooting for y'all to end up in a good place and hopefully one day soon we will be in the FBS ourselves and can make this a regular meeting. Best of luck in the realignment, I look forward to another trip down to Greenville!
