Does this mean TCU joins as well?

(If you prefer something more "official": http://www.dailymail.com/News/breakingnews/201202090205)
Pretty much means that WV paid to get out and the B12 has paid off the BE to not being able file a TI suit.

and if people haven't noticed, now the latest cost leave a conference is 20M... just in time for A&M and Missouri to come up with an amount to pay the Big 12 to leave...

Two sources--pretty impressive. Except that one is the Fake Dan Beebe, and the other is a broken link. So, not really.
Link wasn't broken when I posted it, and Dan Beebe has consistently had the best inside information on conference realignment.
If the Big 12 is willing to help with WVU's buyout, will the SEC do the same for aTm or Mizzou? Would the ACC help Pitt and Cuse if they leave before the end of the 27 month waiting period? Maybe the Big 12 is setting the precedent because they have 2 buy outs coming there way.

My guess is that the Big 12 will tell Mizzou that they have to pay that $9 million in addition to whatever the normal exit fee is. Or maybe the Big 12 is going to pay just because they like to throw their money away and let Mizzou leave at the midnight hour without paying extra for it. You decide which is more likely.

Your link got the parenthesis stuck to the url, that's why it was broken.
Forbes is already analyzing the case...

There is only one tidbit of relevance that they failed to leave out of the article. Although the Big East has a 27 month policy on those leaving the conference, they allowed TCU to leave without penalty. Thats right, NO PENALTY! Now I know that in the case of WVU, there would be a financial stipulation to be paid, but without TCU leaving without penalty, I am not so sure WVU would have had solid legal footing.....
Oh man, TCU again? TCU was never under the bylaws; never part of the conference. And they did have to pay for breaking their invitation agreement. TCU is a member of the Mountain West Conference.
I could care less about TCU, or how the settlement was reached. All I care about is that they reached a settlement, and WVU is about to move on to a new future...

I'll let the nitpickers fight over the details. I could give a 01-rivals...
