Thanks. Not trying to be mean, but I will not be rooting for either Pitt or Louisville next year or ever. That's what makes college sports great.
I have heard rumors of the ECU series being dropped. Maybe we can get Pitt back in their spot

I like the ECU series, but that's a no brainer if we can make it happen. 9 games in the Big 12 + Pitt + a home guarantee against an FCS + one more on a rotating basis. Maybe keep Maryland in the mix if possible.
Won't give us a lot of flexibility, but it should be doable.

I think Maryland will stay on the schedule because of recruiting and of course being the only rival who still has the balls to play us.

It's more on Pitt's end on why the series won't be continued. Pitt can't play WVU with PSU, ND, Navy + a random MAC school w/ only 3 OOC games a year to work with.

You never know. The Brawl could be resurrected in the future as a made for TV event. But it's going to be difficult with both schools playing 9 game conference schedules...
Very happy for WVU. I'll be pulling for you in the Big XII.....but hopefully not for long.
catdaddy, we'll see what happens. But if FSU and Clemson do decide to switch conferences, and join the Big XII in the near future, it would be great...

As for schedule, OL has said he would like to keep the Maryland series going and would like to try and do something with Pitt--Pitt doesn't seem to share the sentiment but it would truly be a shame for the backyard brawl to end.
It won't be the first rivalry to die due to realignment, and won't be the last, I figure...
